HUBER+SUHNER to Acquire Motion Applied’s Connected Intelligence Business

Motion Applied has announced an agreement to sell its Connected Intelligence business to HUBER+SUHNER.

Based in Woking, UK, Connected Intelligence provides software and connectivity solutions for the global rail and other mobile environments. Its flagship Fleet Connect™ platform enables operators to monitor, manage and optimise communications networks across their fleets, improving passenger connectivity and operational performance. The business serves major rail operators across the globe.

HUBER+SUHNER is a Swiss publicly-listed provider of electrical and optical connectivity solutions, serving customers across the transportation, communication and industrial sectors.

The acquisition will combine Connected Intelligence’s software and connectivity management expertise with Huber+Suhner’s rail communications hardware portfolio, expanding its ability to deliver complete connectivity solutions. Following completion, the business will join HUBER+SUHNER’s Transportation segment. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.
